Metrobus of Maryland, DC, and Virginia
These buses operate in the Nation's Capital region, serving 2.5 states (where DC is .5), which serve about 350 routes. In my point of view, the Metrobus is a clean service which comes around more often than other buses. They do everything to keep it nice like replacing destination signs and replacing seats. So far, the buses that had their destination signs replaced are the 1993-1994 Flxible Metro-Ds, 1995 Flxible Metro-Es, 1995 NABIs, 1998 Orion Vs, and the 1999 Orion Vs. The 2000 Orion V's are starting to have their signs replaced. This series of replacing old destination signs with new orange signs is also known as "The Orange Crush". Ever since 2001, all of Metrobus' new buses are CNG or hybrid powered and low-floor buses (except for the 2002 Neoplan Articulated buses). Now with the order of the clean-diesel New Flyer D40LF's, the consecutive order of alternative fuel buses has been broken.
